Richard Sherman leads the Seahawks against the Cardinals. Here is my Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals pick for Week 7.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals pick – Week 7
Seattle Seahawks - 5-1
Arizona Cardinals - 3-3
The Seattle Seahawks have picked up where they left off last season as one of the best teams in the NFL. Their offense isn’t particularly explosive, but their defense remains extremely tough to succeed against. The Arizona Cardinals have notched three wins already this season, where last season they only had five total.
New Head Coach Bruce Arians has the team competing hard every week, and although their offense has struggled, their defense has helped to give the Cards an edge that they lacked last year. Running back Rashard Mendenhall has been somewhat of a disappointment for the Cardinals, but rookie Andre Ellington has emerged as a spark on offense.
Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has been steady if not spectacular this season, and RB Marshawn Lynch looks to be headed to another 1,000 yard season. Wilson’s counterpart for the Cardinals QB Carson Palmer has been up and down, and is among the league leaders in interceptions. That could spell disaster against the Seahawks outstanding secondary.
I look for the Cardinals to come out strong at home as, this is a division rival. Both defenses will control the game early, but the Seahawks will take control as the game goes on, and wear down the Cardinals with their running game and defense. It won’t be a blow out, but the Seahawks will win.
Score prediction: 24-17 Seahawks
Points spread: Seahawks - 5.5
